Russia is planning to build an contemporary city near the north pole, inside the arctic circle. According to several sources, the whole purpose behind the plan is for Russia to outpost itself. On top of that, with the city being built there, Russia can claim its property to the vast amount of oil reserves and gas reserves under the polar ice cap.
According to plan, it would be able to hold a total capacity of 5000 residents.
The total estimated budget for the plan is 6.3billion.
